1. Acceptance
By booking a postural assessment, purchasing class credits, attending a class, or otherwise using the services of Xtreme Gymnasium (“the studio”), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the studio. These terms apply alongside our Privacy & POPIA Notice.
2. The postural assessment
Every new client is required to complete a two-hour postural assessment with Master Instructor Corrie van der Colff before joining individual sessions or group classes. The assessment is invoiced upon booking and is payable in advance. The fee is non-refundable once the appointment has been confirmed, but it can be rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice.
3. Individual sessions and group classes
Group Reformer and Matwork classes are open only to clients who have completed their postural assessment and a minimum of ten introductory individual sessions. This is for your own safety and to preserve the quality of the group experience for everyone present.
4. Payments
All Mat Work and Reformer credit packages are paid up front to secure your spot in class. Monthly accounts for individual sessions are due by the last day of each month. Sauna and pool packages are paid at point of purchase or on monthly invoice, depending on the contract.
5. Cancellations
You must give us at least 12 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule any booked class. Late cancellations and no-shows are charged at the full session rate — that time was held for you, and another client could have used it.
6. Validity of credits
All class credits are valid for a specific period from the date of first use — refer to each individual package on the Pricing & Plans page for its validity window. Unused credits expire at the end of that window and cannot be carried over, refunded, or transferred to another person.
7. Health, safety, and waiver
Pilates, sauna, and pool activities involve physical exertion and inherent risk. By using the studio you acknowledge that you participate at your own risk; that you are physically capable of the activities you choose; that you have disclosed any injury, condition, pregnancy, or medication that may affect your safe practice; and that you will follow the instructions of your instructor at all times. The studio, its staff, and its owners are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage suffered while using the premises, save where caused by gross negligence on our part.
8. Studio etiquette
The studio is a sanctuary — for everyone who steps into it. We ask all clients to arrive on time, switch phones to silent, treat the equipment and the building with care, and hold the values of respect, responsibility, honesty, and good citizenship. We reserve the right to refuse or terminate access to anyone whose behaviour disrupts the practice of others.
9. Children and minors
Minors are welcome to selected classes. A parent or guardian must complete the registration on the minor’s behalf, sign the waiver, and remain reachable during the session.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always the version published on this page. Material changes will be communicated to active clients by email.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa and any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
